Awesome work mate! I don't know how you do this with such ease. Ribbon cables especially just freak me out 😅

If I had an OG GBA, I'd definitely give this a go.

  2. YES! Erek! i stuffed my screen lamination up and dusted the glass too NOOO! great work man! Im going to do the IPS V3 mod soon on a GBC with a printed case. maybe Kirby, maybe link, maybe Gengar? who knows!

  3. Looks great! Would love to try this one day – not the most handy guy though haha. Glad you took us through the process.

Great video, mate! Thank you for the shout ❤

You've highlighted the ease of this build very well. I love that we live in a modding world where the rear sticker placement is the most difficult part of the build 😂

We also have the ribbon cable socket/latch replacments if you have any that are buggered.

  5. Years ago to do these mods was hard work to even attempt. I personally love these drop in solutions.

    Great video …. Happy gaming

  6. this is nice! im considering this screen kit for my first ever mod.

BTW is that shell considered a crystal clear or just regular? im interested in a crystal clear black shell, but im afraid it doesnt work with laminated screens. most clear shells i see arent 100% clear which i dont like. would you know anything about that?

  7. Oh my god. Thank you so much for doing it without soldering. I was confused on how to do it without soldering, and now I know how! Again, thanks.

I haven't but I would love to do one I just a got a gba from ebay that I wanted to fix so I fixed it and I want to do a mod on it now!

  9. is it possible to do this with the factory GBA case? As i have an indigo one and the shell is in perfect condition and i prefer the feel of the stock case over 3rd party cases

Useful, this helped me get the mod done. I would have liked a bit more close-up focus of how the alignment bracket is inserted, and how the L/R button tension arms are set correctly.

I have the same transparent shell on mine. Look great. The screen is amazing, and the touch dimming controls are really cool.

With that new screen would be good to add a rechargeable battery. Mine consume batteries in less than a day, sometimes even hours.
