Makes way more noise than the x box x and s. I bough the slim without a disk drive, two weeks ago and played Days Gone and noticed it has a pretty nosiey fan. But when I started to play The Last Us Part 1, damn that thing gets very loud. I had to turn my heat down for it not be so loud.

I don't know if i will explain it correctly, but here it goes. So I bought my ps5 slim back in june this year (2024) and at the beginning, it was silent and everything was fine. Now, when i try to play a ps5 game (any game), it will go crazy loud and gives me the overheating warning. It even shutdown once just from starting a mission in spider man 2 due to "overheating". I tried to clean while watching tutorials and the problem is still there. I can play ps4 games and it doesn't make a sound nor "overheats", but with the ps5 ones, this happens. Anyone knows if I need to get it clean in a tech store or what can I do?

For the price we pay, I feel like they're not trying hard enough to make something that doesn't feel and sound like it's about to blow up after a couple of hours in use. My ps5 gets a lot hotter a lot faster than my ps4 ever did. Granted it only makes that jet engine sound for about 5-10 seconds when I put a disc in or if I turn on the console with the disc already in it. But for $500 I expect that fckr to remain cool and silent, Sony!

Wow my ps5 started doing this shit about a week ago now i know why. My cats been having the zoomies at night and occasionally like to pass through to sleep on the counter. I noticed the plates were off. He must misplacedem not securely attached. Hes got some weight one him. Thank you for the video
